My Goals!

I would like to say that yes, I did accomplish my goals. My goal was to improve my writing, and I did do that. I am much more confident with my writing ability before taking this class. This class has really helped me out a lot. I am much better at writing research papers and at writing in general. Thanks to Mr. Ramsier i was able to achieve this. Though I did the work, i couldn't have done it without ya! Thanks :D

My day!

Today was quite a very normal day indeed. I woke up and got ready for school, as I normally do. Then i left for school and went to my astronomy class. I sat there blank and listened to the lecture. Before i knew it, it was over. With an hour before my English class, i decided to go to the library to do some homework. Then i proceeded to English. English is always interesting. After English class i went out to lunch with some buddies to Wendy's. Then after lunch, the guys gathered together, and we all went long boarding. Long boarding is so much fun. It has all the fun of skateboarding, but without the frustration. After long boarding, i went home and fell asleep. That was my day!

Informative and Surprising

One aspect of my paper that I am proud of is the amount f information i was able to give. I am also proud because I am terrible at research papers and i worte a decent one.

The most difficult thing about writing this paper was the research. I am just terrible with research papers.

If i could revise this paper, I would probably go in more detail with black holes. I would also have to define some terms that are not very common household terms.

I would go about this by researching more and telling my audience the definition of terms.

Midterm

One aspect I am proud of is how thorough I am in this paper. I explained things pretty well, and I received a good grade too.

The most difficult aspect of this paper was nothing really. I actually enjoyed writing this paper. It was easy to write because it was something that really interests me.

If i could revise this essay, I would define some terms that most people would not know.

I would tell the reader in my writing.

Skateboarding

Skateboarding is just so relaxing to me. I just grab my board and head out and just shred until my heart is content. Cruising around with some buddies and just chilling is so fun. Boardslides, tre flips, and nollie heels are my favorite tricks. The feeling of landing a new trick just fills me with a joy that you can't really explain, one just has to experience it for themselves. I wish everyone out there could experience that feeling.

In order to build this shelving unit, you must follow these instructions. First, you must screw in the three shelf pieces onto one of the side pieces of the unit. Then, you screw in the other side of the unit. Finally, you attach the back piece on the unit. Once all of this is done, you may stand up the shelving unit and put it to good use!

Compare and Contrast Qs

One aspect of my paper that I am proud of is the information i was able to give on both systems.

The most difficult thing about writing this paper was choosing the criteria for comparing and contrasting the two systems.

If i had a chance to revise this paper, I would definitely clean it up a bit. I would go into more detail about what each system has.

I would go about this revision by researching each system a little bit more.

These two pictures are similar because they are both at musical performances. They both showcase artists performing. In both pictures, the musicians seem to be into the performance. These two pictures are also very different. The venues that they are playing at is very different. One is at a classical music hall and the other is in an outdoor auditorium. They way the musicians are dressed is also different. In one picture, he is wearing a vest displaying his tattoos, in the other, the performers are all wearing collard shirts and ties.

What one specific aspect of your paper are you proudest of? Why?
One specific aspect of my narrative essay that i am proud of is giving the reader the feelings that I felt while writing it.

What was the most difficult aspect of writing this essay? Why?
The most difficult aspect of writing this essay was thinking of a topic to write about. This was difficult because it was hard to recall something in my life that is essay-worthy.

Imagine that you have a few extra hours to revise this paper. What aspect(s) of the paper would you reword, write, and/or polish? Why?
With a few extra hours, I would go back and add much more detail to my body paragraphs. I would also write a better conclusion.

How would you approach such a revision?

I would approach such a revision by remembering everything I can about where I've lived and try to show the reader what I saw.

I imagine that in this scene, a Virginia tech student has died. The student was most likely murdered and had a very untimely death. The student was trapped in a classroom, and was killed. I imagine that this was not the only deaths that happened. In the picture, the man and the woman are wearing Virginia Tech colors. There is also a toy hokie on the ground. I think that the mourners are friends of the deceased.

Expectations!

There are many things i want to accomplish in this class. I want to come out of this class a better writer. I need to improve my essays, especially my research paper. I learned many things in my past English classes. I was taught to improve my writing, and I have little by little each year. Although I've learned a lot, I have much more room for improvement. I feel that with my writing, I still need to work to work on my thesis statements and my paragraph structure. My goal for my college career is to graduate with a degree in cinematography and work on a film production team. This writing class can help me reach that goal by keeping me open to new ideas and being able to put those ideas onto paper.
